If you recall, in the beginning of November I participated in a celebrity basketball tournament that benefited foster youth in the Sacramento Region. On Wednesday December 14th, the Elk Grove City Council recognized our team that represented their city and won the championship at the Jumpstart 21 Regional Celebrity Basketball Tournament. Our team consisted of myself, former NFL Jets/Eagle’s wide receiver Alex Van Dyke, former WNBA Monarch’s guard Ruthie Bolton, Pro Water Skier Daniel Goldman, former UCSB guard Jessica Wilson and News 10’s Dan Elliott. The team was coached by Mayor Steve Detrick and Vice Mayor Jim Cooper. Below are pictures from the presentation. Dan Elliott and Ruthie Bolton were unable to attend.
