Hey World!

Today was the last day of competition for the 2012 FISU World University Water Ski Championships. The only event today was the jump finals. Team USA had Lauren and Alex jumping on the female side and they were seeded 1 and 2. That is how they finished as well. Kate Adriaensen of Belgium finished 3rd.

Alex won overall, Kate finished 2nd and Lauren was 3rd. It was great to see both of Team USA’s women on the podium again!

Men’s jump was exciting. All of the guys were jumping far! Alex Paradis of Canada was the 2nd seed and booted a 63.1m jump to take the lead over his teammate, Kevin Melnuk. Pipe Miranda of Chile was top seed and he ended up in 3rd.

Pipe won overall, Adam Sedlmajer of the Chzech Repblic was 2nd and Martin Bartalsky of Slovakia was 3rd.

For the team, we(TEAM USA) won and were named 2012 World University Team Champions! Czech Republic was 2nd and Chile 3rd.
