Hey World!

Today was the first day of competition. It started off well with Lauren and Alex both getting into 35. Then Dylan and Tyler ran mid 35’s with Adam and I running deep 38. It was a great start for our team as 5 out of our 6 skiers made it to the finals. Below are results from day 1.

The opening ceremony took place at the end of the day. It was a great experience to walk out with the team. I was honored to carry our country’s flag and sign. We were welcomed by the president of the Chilean Olympic Committee and the president of the Chile Water Ski Federation. The ceremony ended with Chilean folklore dancing. I am thankful that the Miranda’s gave us the opportunity to learn and see part of their culture. It was a great experience that I will always remember.
