Hey World!

Today’s BD’s Saturday SHOUT OUT goes out to Kenny Wiggins!  I first met Kenny when we played baseball against each other circa 1997. We ended up attending the same high school where we both played varsity basketball and spent each day in practice battling in the post. I was giving up 4 inches and 100 pounds since Kenny was about 6′ 8” 290lbs. So I always had my work cut out and found it difficult to keep my ground. Kenny went on to play football at California State University, Fresno. He could have played basketball in college as well but chose to focus on football.

Since graduating from Fresno, Kenny has been on the San Francisco 49er and Baltimore Ravens practice squads. He spent the entire 2012 season with the 49ers as they made the trip to the Super Bowl. Kenny has worked very hard to get to where he is and he continues to work hard to reach his goals.

Kenny is getting this weeks BD’s Saturday SHOUT OUT for his creativeness and out of the box thinking of how to ask his girlfriend to marry him. As they were at Disneyland this past weekend on the Splash Mountain ride, Kenny held up a sign saying “MARRY ME JENN?” (pictured to the right) while the camera went off.  He posted on Facebook, “She said yes !! #engaged #ballandchain”

I want to congratulate Kenny and Jenn on their engagement and wish you both the best!!
