Today’s BD’s Saturday SHOUT OUT goes out to Sacramento Mayor, Kevin Johnson. An arena deal was just announced tonight by Mayor Kevin Johnson.  He reports that the deal avoids new taxes, protects the City on the Kings loan, and ensures no net impact to the general fund. The new ownership will invest up to $1 Billion in Sacramento and make a 35-year commitment to keep the Kings in Sacramento. Over the last few weeks, it wasn’t looking like the Kings were going to stay in Sacramento. People in the Sacramento Region weren’t even sure if an arena deal was really being put together. This is exciting news for the Sacramento Region and Kevin Johnson deserves this week’s SHOUT OUT for his continued efforts to try and keep the Kings in Sacramento. A downtown arena
