Hey World!
Today’s BD’s Saturday SHOUT OUT goes out to my oldest niece, Gabriella! She recently celebrated her 8th birthday, she competed in her first tap dancing competition and she learned how to snow ski for the first time yesterday!
Over the past couple of weeks, Gabby competed in her first 2 tap dancing competitions. Her team placed 2nd last weekend! She has been tap dancing for about 4 years now and she is really enjoying it and is getting quit good. I talked to her about getting all “dolled” up for the competitions and having to wear a lot of make-up. She said “it feels like I have 5 layers of my face!”
A few days ago my older brother and Gabby flew to California to spend this weekend in Tahoe with my dad and uncle. I was unable to join in on the fun since I am recovering from a minor injury and I am working at the Sacramento Boat Show; with one of my sponsors, Mello Marine. This was Gabby’s first time skiing. She took lessons and I heard that she did really well!
As her uncle, I am very proud of everything she has done over the past couple of weeks. Most importantly, she is getting it done in the classroom. She is a straight A student! Congratulations Gabby! Enjoy day 2 of snow skiing today!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! If you are in the Sacramento Region, come check out the Sacramento Boat Show at Cal Expo. 10am-8pm Saturday and Sunday.
