2011 NCWSA Nationals – 2 National Jump Records & A HUGE Crash

I wasn’t able to get down to Bennett’s Ski School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where the 2011 Nationals were held for the National Collegiate Water Ski Association. But as we all know, Collegiate Nationals never disappoints. Most people’s favorite event is Men’s jump. It’s the last event on Saturday late afternoon, the last day of the 3 day competition, and it tends to decide who will be crowned National Champs!

This year didn’t disappoint. There were some HUGE jump scores throughout the weekend. It all started with Florida Southern University’s very own freshman, Lauren Morgan. She set the Women’s Collegiate National Jump Record of 157 feet.

When Louisiana Monroe’s, Zack Worden, hits the water, all eyes are on the jump lake. Zack already had a huge year winning a few tour stops and making the podium in almost all of them. He also set a Collegiate National Jump Record of 194 feet.

BEST CRASH – Kyle Dammeyer

When all was said an done, the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks took home the title and became National Champs for the 23rd time. For all of the results visit http://ncwsa.skibennetts.com/
